The EPA is a Trade & Development Agreement between CARIFORUM member countries and the European Union (EU). The official name of the treaty signed in 2008 is the Economic Partnership Agreement Treaty, abbreviated to the EPA. The main aims of the EPA, are:
- Enhance competitiveness & supply capacity of CARIFORUM member countries
- Increase productive capacity of member countries so as to establish an effective & transparent regulatory framework
- Promoting regional integration & the strengthening of commercial relations of CARIFORUM member countries.
